IN 2018 I TRAVELLED TO UGANDA WITH CATHOLIC RELIEF SERVICES ON A MISSION TO DOCUMENT THE HUMANITARIAN ASSISTANCE GIVEN TO SOUTH SUDANESE REFUGEES THAT CONCENTRATED IN ONE OF THE LARGEST REFUGEE CAMPS IN THE WORLD. HERE I COULD GET TO KNOW MANY STORIES OF THE DISPLACED VICTIMS OF A INTERNAL CONFLICT THAT MOVED HUMANITARIAN EMERGENCY RESPONSE TO THE HOST COUNTRY AND COMMUNITY WERE THEY WERE RECEIVED.
HERE I GOT TO KNOW ANNET KONGA A BRAVE YOUTH THAT TOOK CONTROL OVER HER ORPHANED SIBLINGS AND GUIDED THEM TO SAFETY. SHE AS OTHER MOST VULNERABLE REFUGEES RECEIVED A DIGNIFIED HOME WHERE THEY COULD RESTART THEIR LIVES.
